Description
Three cards, three beach Days
Beachcombing is never the same walk twice. The light changes, the tide leaves something different, and every so often a find stops you in your tracks. This set gathers three of those moments.
In the Shell. Late sun slants across the beach and lights up a handful of green and frosted white seaglass tucked inside an open oyster shell, glowing like it’s lit from within.
Tide Pool. Among smooth dark stones, three small pieces of seaglass sit together on a rock in a shallow pool of still water, soft green against the deep blue-grey of the shoreline.
Aqua Tumble. Pale aqua, sky blue, sea green and one bright piece of cobalt, scattered across the pebbles, with a big weathered olive piece keeping watch at the back.
Every photograph from Pebble and Pask is real seaglass, taken on the beach where it was found, on the day it was found, in natural light. There’s no studio and no collection jar, just what the tide brought in.
Why glossy
The glossy finish brings out the colour and shine of wet glass and water, especially in the sunlit shell and the reflective tide pool. It gives these photographs the bright, just-found feel of seaglass still glistening at the water’s edge.
